This beautiful edition of The Outdoor World or The Young Collector's Handbook by W Furneaux was published by Longmans, Green and Co in 1912. The book is bound in red cloth with beautiful gilt detail to the front and lettering to the spine. There is no dust jacket.
It's in good condition with light wear and bumping to the corners and minor marking to the text block edges. The spine is faded, with crushing to the spine ends. There is minor marking to the red cloth and a small bump to the edge of the front board.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and very occasional foxing. There is a name plate glued to the front pastedown and a pencilled diagram to the FFEP. The book features black and white illustrations within the text as well as colour plates, each with it's own tissue guard.
Dimensions approximately 22.2cm x 14.5cm x 3.2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
