This beautiful second edition of Corners of Grey Old Gardens by Margaret Waterfield was published by T N Foulis in 1917. It features the original pictorial binding designed by Jessie M King, and still has it's original dust jacket which is really hard to find!
It's in good condition for it's age, but there is some wear and tear tot he edges of the DJ, and some minor loss at the spine ends. The DJ shows some soiling and marking, and the spine is sunned. Underneath the DJ, the corners are lightly crushed and there is wear and discolouration to the spine ends.
Inside, the endpapers are tanned but there are no inscriptions. The pages show light age toning, and there is creasing to the tissue guard of the frontispiece.
Dimensions approximately 19cm x 13.8cm x 2,3cm.
The book will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
