This beautiful, antique edition of Wild Life on the Wing by M.D.Haviland was published by A & C Black in 1913. The book is bound in original blue pictorial cloth.
It's in very good condition with light wear to the corners and foxing to the text block edges. There is bumping to the board edges and light marking/soiling to the boards. The spine is sunned and faintly marked, whilst crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, a presentation plate has been removed from the front pastedown and the top of the front free endpaper has been also been removed. The pages show age toning and scattered foxing throughout. There is heavy tanning and foxing to the preliminary pages. There are occasional cracks to the gutters but the pages remain tightly bound.
The book features 8 black and white plates and 50 smaller illustrations within the text.

I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
