This beautiful, antique edition of Alpine Flowers and Gardens Painted and Described by G Flemwell was published by A & C Black in 1910.
The book is bound in original green cloth with beautiful pictorial detail to the front board. It's in good condition but there is wear and crushing to the corners, which has caused slight fraying in the cloth. The text block edges show foxing and there is minor marking to the boards. There is faint sunning and rubbing to the spine whilst crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, the book has contemporary endpapers. There is age toning and scattered foxing throughout. A few pages show uneven tanning where something has been stored between the pages (often newspaper clippings or cards).
The book features stunning colour illustration plates which make this an extra special read.
