This lovely little book was printed at the Chiswick Press in 1910 for the author, Grace Whitney Hoff. These books were given away to her friends and as a result, it is inscribed by the author herself. The book contains Christian messages/verses for each day of the year. The Hoff family were wealthy Americans, resident in Paris, and Grace was a noted philanthropist.
The book is bound in half Morocco leather with four raised bands and gilt detail to the spine. The text block edges are gilt, with light scuffing. It's in very good condition but there are some light marks and scratches to the boards. The corners are worn and slightly crushed, with one corner slightly split to reveal the board beneath.
Inside, there are some pencilled scribbles to the front endpaper and a written inscription on a blank page. The pages show light age toning and sporadic marking and creasing. There are occasional pencilled scribbles in places, and two days in March have some pencilled numbers. The ribbon page marker is fraying at the bottom.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
