This stunning antique edition of Dante Gabriel Rossetti's Poetical Works was published by Ellis and Elvey in 1905. So the book is from the mid Edwardian era. It's finely bound in half vellum, with delicate gilt floral decoration to the spine. Top edge is gilt and the book has a removable plastic jacket.
It's in very good condition but there is wear to the board edges, with some loss and chipping to the surface of the paper. The boards show some scuffs and scratches, and there is light soiling to the vellum.
Inside, the endpapers are marbled and there is both a written name and an ex libris stamp to one of the preliminary blank pages. The pages are clean and bright with only light age toning. There is foxing to the preliminary pages and tanning to the tissue guard for the frontispiece.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
