This lovely edition of Little Button Rose by Louisa May was published in 1901 by Little, Brown and Company. It is bound in beige cloth with pictorial decoration to the front board. It's an attractive binding and in good condition, with just light wear and crushing to the corners. This has caused minor splitting to the cloth at the corners. The cloth shows some minor marking and soiling and the book has a slight forward lean. The spine is a bit darkened with some marking to the cloth, whilst crushing to the spine ends has caused slight splitting to the cloth.
Inside, there is some pencilled writing and numbers on the front free endpaper. There are cracks to the gutter in places - despite this the pages remain tightly bound. The pages show light age toning but there is quite significant marking and splash marks.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
