This beautiful edition of The Bankside Costume Book for Children by Melicent Stone was published by Wells Gardner Darton and Co in 1913.
The book is bound in green cloth with pretty detail and gilt lettering to the front. It's in very good condition but the corners are lightly bumped and the boards show some light marking and discolouration. There is sunning to the spine and crushing to the spine ends, as well as a stain to the cloth.
Inside, a name plate has been partially removed from the front free endpaper and there's some minor surface damage to the FFEP. The pages show light age toning but are otherwise clean and bright.
Dimensions approximately 16.8cm x 11.4cm x 2.1cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
