This lovely antique edition of England's Helicon Collection of Lyrical and Pastoral Poetry was published in 1899 by Lawrence and Bullen. It is bound in maroon cloth with stunning gilt decoration to the front board and spine. The page edges are rough cut and the top edge is gilt.
It's in very good condition, with the most noticeable flaw being the sunning to the spine which has caused slight dulling to the gilt. The spine ends are crushed and the corners show light wear.
There are no dedications or inscriptions inside, and the pages show only light age toning (more prominent to endpapers).
Dimensions approximately 18cm x 12cm 2.6cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
