This beautiful vintage edition of The Tapestry Room by Mrs Molesworth was published by Macmillan and Co in 1898. The book features an AA Turbayne binding and his signature scarab beetle can be seen near the bottom of the front board.
The book is bound in blue cloth with art nouveau decoration of thistles to the front board and spine (the decoration on the spine is very sunned and worn though). The spine shows the most wear, and there is crushing to the spine ends which has caused minor splitting in the cloth. The corners show wear and crushing and there is some minor shelf wear to the board edges. The back board shows minor marking.
Inside,, there is a written inscription on the front free endpaper and the pages show tanning and foxing throughout. The book features beautiful black and white plates by Walter Crane which add to the charm of this volume.

The book will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
