This beautiful, antique edition of The Story of Rosina and Other Verses by Austin Dobson was published in 1895 by Kegan Paul, Trench and Co.
The book is bound in teal cloth with elaborate gilt detailing to the front board and spine. All edges gilt. It's in very good condition, with just light sunning and dulling to the spine. Crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth and loss to the head of the spine. Minor marking to the back board.
Inside, the pages show age toning and scattered foxing. There is a penned name and date opposite the half title page; there are occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tight to the binding.
Dimensions approximately 18.7cm x 13cm x 2.1cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
