This three volume set of Modes and Manners of the 19th Century as represented in the pictures and engravings of the time. It was published by JM Dent and Co in 1909 so the books are late Edwardian. They are prettily bound in beige cloth with pretty floral decoration and gilt to the front boards and spines.

They're in very good condition with just light wear to the corners and the books show a slight forward lean. There is light marking and soiling to the cloth and the spines are slightly darkened. 

Inside, there is age toning to the endpapers but minimal age toning to the rest of the pages. The books are filled with illustrations and engravings that were originally from the 19th Century and help to capture life during this period. 

The books will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. 

I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
