This beautiful antique edition of The Christian Home It's Foundation and Duties by W.J Knox Little was published by Longmans, Green, and Co in 1895 - so the book is from the late Victorian era. It's bound in half vellum with Morocco covered boards - it's unusual to see leather covered boards with the vellum as usually it's cloth. The spine features striking gilt decoration and leather title label. All edges gilt.
The book is in very good condition, with some soiling and discolouration to the leather. The vellum shows minor marking, with faint soiling to the corners. The bottom corner of the back board is dented.
Inside, the endpapers are marbled and there is a penned inscription to one of the preliminary blank pages. The pages show light age toning throughout and very occasional minor marking.
Dimensions of the book are approximately 18.7cm x 12.5cm x 2.5cm.
