This beautiful, antique edition of The Ballad of Beau Brocade and Other Poems by Austin Dobson was published in 1892 by Kegan Paul, Trench and Co. It's bound in blue cloth with stunning gilt decoration to the front board and spine. All edges gilt.
It's in very good condition, with light wear to the corners and board edges. There are minor marks to the cloth and crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, there is a bookseller's sticker to the bottom corner of the front pastedown. The pages show heavy foxing throughout with occasional handling marks. There are occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tight to the binding. tanning to the endpapers and light foxing to the pages throughout. The pages are bright and the illustrations by Hugh Thomson add to the charm of this Victorian book.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
