This lovely antiquarian edition of Heroes of Science; Botanists, Zoologists and Geologists published by The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge in 1882. The book is bound in original green cloth with brown and gilt detail to the front.
It's in very good condition with light bumping to the board edges and corners. The spine is faintly sunned and discoloured and there is foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front pastedown and the pages are clean and bright with sporadic foxing. Dimensions approximately 18.7cm x 13cm x 3.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
