This lovely edition of The Farm and Household Cyclopaedia was a Complete Ready Reference Library for Farmers, Gardeners, Fruit Growers, Stockmen and Housekeepers. It was published by F.M.Lupton in 1885 and features over two hundred illustrations.
The book is bound in teal cloth with blind stamped decoration in black to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with marking to the back and light rubbing to the corners. There is foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, there are no inscriptions and the pages are clean and bright with sporadic foxing. There are also occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tight to the binding.
Dimensions approximately 19cm x 13.4cm x 3.9cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
