This beautiful early Edwardian edition of Works of C.S.Calverley was published by George Bell and Son in 1902. It's bound in half vellum over grey cloth boards, with stunning art nouveau detail in gilt and red to the spine. Top edge gilt.
The book is in very good condition with the main flaw being some soiling and marking to the vellum. Thankfully the delicate pattern is still clear. There is also some foxing to the boards and text block edges.
Inside, there is a name plate glued to the front pastedown and the endpapers are marbled. The pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing throughout.
Dimensions of the book are approximately 19.3cm x 13.5cm x 3.3cm.
Every book purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
