This pretty edition of The Girl Without Ambition by Isabel Suart Robson was published by Cassell and Company. The book is undated but there is a written inscription dated 1923. So the book is over 100 years old. The book is bound blue cloth with pink detail and floral decoration to the spine. The front board has a pasted on portrait illustration.
It's in very good condition with the main flaw being some splash stains to the spine. The boards show minor marks and there is foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the front pastedown, and light age staining to the endpapers. The rest of the pages show minimal age toning but there is scattered foxing throughout the book.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
