This beautiful edition of Half Hours with some English Antiquities by Llewellynn Jewitt was published by David Bogue in 1880.
This lovely Victorian book is bound in original green cloth with blind stamped decoration in black and gilt to the front and spine. It's in very good condition with light wear to the corners and minor air bubbling to the cloth of the front board. There is light bumping to the edges of the back board and minor scuffing. The spine ends are crushed and there is foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, there is a penned name to the front pastedown and the pages show scattered foxing. The book features black and white illustrations within the text, as well as full page illustrations.
Dimensions approximately 18.8cm x 13cm x 2.7cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
