This beautiful Victorian edition of Four Little People and Their Friends; Short Tales for Little Folks was published by W P Nimmo. The book is undated but I'd estimate it to be circa 1900.
The book is bound in blue pictorial cloth with pretty floral decoration to the front and spine. It's in good condition but the book does show a slight forward lean and light wear to the corners. There is light soiling and marking to the boards and the spine is sunned, with a little rubbing to the decoration. The spine ends are crushed.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright with sporadic foxing and handling marks. There are a couple of superficial cracks to the gutter in places but the pages remain tightly bound.
Dimensions approximately 18.4cm x 12.8cm x 2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
