This beautiful antique edition of Letters on Demonology and Witchcraft by Sir Walter Scott was published by Adam and Charles Black in 1871. It's bound in half calf with marbled paper boards and gilt lettering to the spine. Please note that it's ex library, but editions of this title are hard to come by so I'm excited to have found one for my shop.
It's in good condition but does show wear to the corners and board edges, with some loss to the surface of the paper and leather. The boards show scuffing and scratching, with some small chips to the leather. There is fading to the top edge of the back board and fading to the spine. There is some loss to the leather at the spine ends.
Inside, the hinges have been reinforced with tape and there are library stamps to the front endpaper. The pages show light age toning with occasional foxing. The book features a beautiful black and white frontispiece.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
