This beautiful three volume edition of Walter Scott's Poetical Works includes Lay of the Last Minstrel and Ballads, Marmion and Lady of the Lake. The books are bound in full contemporary maroon Morocco, with stunning gilt decoration to the boards and spines. All edges gilt.
The books are in near fine condition with just light wear to the spines and minor chipping to the spine ends. The leather shows minor scuffing and bumping, with light wear to the corners.
Inside, each volume has a written name and date on the front free endpaper. The pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing. Each book has an illuminated title page - one of these has water staining.
Dimensions of the book are approximately 10.7cm x 7cm x 1.6cm.
The books will arrive carefully hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
