This stunning edition of Fisher's Drawing Room Scrapbook was published by H Fisher, R Fisher and P Jackson in 1833 for the year 1834. It's bound in quarter leather with brown embossed cloth boards. There is gilt decoration to the spine and all edges are gilt.
Fisher's Drawing room scrap-book was an annual publication released each year between 1832 and 1854. Each volume contained 36 engravings (including the frontispiece and engraved title-plate vignette) accompanied by a poem or short prose essay related to the image. The images depicted landscape or architectural scenes as well as portraits.
It's in good condition but there is fading and discolouration to the boards, with slight air bubbling to the cloth near the edges. The board edges show wear and bumping, whilst crushing to the corners has caused splitting in the cloth. There is rubbing to the spine with some loss to the surface of the leather.
Inside, there is some soiling to the endpapers and a penned name to the front pastedown. The pages show age toning and scattered foxing throughout, with occasional creasing in places. There is another penned name and date at the top of the Preface page. The book is filled with poetry and stunning black and white plates.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
