This sweet little edition of The Poetical Works of Robert Browning was published in by Peacock, Mansfield and Co. The book itself is undated but there is a written inscription dated 1911. It features a faux leather binding with beautiful gilt and green decoration in an art nouveau style to the front and spine. The boards are cushioned and all edges are gilt.
It's in very good condition with just a small chip to the front cover and light wear to the corners. The text block edges show some marks and scuffs.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the front free endpaper and the pages show light age toning and occasional foxing.
Dimensions approximately 18cm x 12.8cm x 4.2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
