This beautiful antique edition of The Lady of the Lake by Sir Walter Scott was published by Longmans, Green and Co in 1920. The book is a soft cover, but still made of cloth rather than paper.
The book features beautiful floral and swan decoration to the front cover and it's in good condition considering it's a softcover. There is wear to the corners and edges of the book, with some light fraying to the cloth. The cloth shows some marking and soiling, and some bumping to the edge of the back cover has pushed the cloth back slightly. The spine is soiled and has air bubbling to the cloth and the bottom corner of the front cover is bumped.
There is a neatly written name on the front free endpaper and the pages show some toning, marking and creasing in places. The text is clear and bright.
Dimensions of the book are approximately 18.5cm x 12.5cm x 1cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in brown wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
