This beautiful, antique edition of Poems of Robert Browning was published by Henry Frowde in 1910. So the book is from the end of the Edwardian era.
The book is quarter bound in vellum with delicate gold gilt decoration in an art nouveau style to the spine. The boards are bound in brown cloth.
The book shows discolouration and soiling to the vellum and has been priced accordingly. There is also some soiling and minor marking to the boards, and foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, the pages show some age toning and scattered foxing throughout.
Dimensions approximately 20cm x 14cm x 4cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
