This beautiful vintage edition of The Female Quixote by Charlotte Lennox was published in 1970 by Oxford University Press. It still has it's original dust jacket.
If you have read the wonderful Jane Austen's Bookshelf by Rebecca Romney, you'll know that Jane Austen was a great admirer of Charlotte Lennox' work.
The book is in very good condition but the DJ has some light wear and tear around the edges, and there is fading to the spine and back cover. The spine edges of the DJ also show wear and there is a small chip to the back cover of the DJ.
Inside the book, the DJ has been clipped. The pages are clean and bright, with minimal age toning. A price has been rubbed out on the front free endpaper.
The book features one black and white frontispiece illustration.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
