This lovely, vintage edition of Lancelot and Guinevere was based on Thomas Malory's Morte D'Arthur and was published for presentation to members of the Folio Society in 1953. Sadly the book doesn't have it's slipcase.
This pretty book is bound in silver cloth with red lettering and detail to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition but there is some light soiling and marking to the cloth. The red lettering on the spine is slightly dulled and there is some bumping to the board edges.
Inside there are no inscriptions or dedications, and the pages are clean and bright with only light age toning and occasional minor marking/foxing. There is a Folio Society Postcard tucked inside, as well a 1950's booklet of the Folio.
The book features black and white illustrations by Lettice Sandford.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
