This beautiful vintage edition of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen was published by JM Dent and Son in 1941. It was a tie in to the popular film featuring Laurence Olivier and still has it's original DJ with scenes from the film.
The book is in good condition but is definitely showing it's age. There is substantial loss to the DJ although it's now protected by clear plastic to prevent any future loss. There is also some tape remnant to the DJ (particularly the spine) and discolouration to the paper. The book itself has a forward lean, and bumping to the board edges. The corners are lightly worn and crushed and there is discolouration to the cloth.
Inside, there are no inscriptions or dedications but there is a sticker glued to the half title page which has caused rippling to the page. The pages are clean and bright with only minor toning and creasing.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
