This lovely three volume collection of The Pageant of Nature was published by the Waverley Book Company. The books are undated but I'd estimate them to be from circa 1920/1930.
The books are uniformly bound in red cloth with gilt decoration to the spines. They're in good condition for their age but there is wear and crushing to the corners, with some minor fraying to the cloth. There is rubbing to the board edges and some small chips in the cloth. The boards are marked and soiled; volume one has bowing to the boards. The spines are lightly sunned and marked, with rubbing to the spine edges. Crushing to the spine ends has caused very minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, the pages show age toning and rippling, with sporadic foxing. A few of the pages in Volume One are stained with past water damage. There are some superficial cracks to the gutter in places but there are no loose pages.
Dimensions of each volume approximately 24.1cm x 17.5cm.
The books will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
