This beautiful French Book called Petit Paroissien Bijou is a miniature Catholic Prayer book. It features a full leather binding with elaborate embossed detail in gilt to the boards and spine. All edges gilt.

It's in very good condition but there is wear to the corners, with some splitting to the leather. The leather shows light scuffing and marking, and there is minor loss to the surface of the leather in places. The boards don't sit flat.
Inside, there are prettily patterned endpapers and gilt inner dentelles. There are no inscriptions or writings of any kind. The pages show age toning with occasional minor foxing and marking. Sadly one page (35) is badly torn, with part of the page detached. Page 15 also shows a small tear to the top and creasing to the paper.
Dimensions approximately 8cm x 5.8cm x 1.3cm. The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
