This beautiful edition of Talks About Trees by John W Gofton was published by the Religious Tract Society. The book itself isn't dated but there is a name written inside dated 1914. So the book is from the early 20th century.
The book is bound in green brown cloth with pretty decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition but does show some foxing to the text block edges and rubbing to the corners. There is faint sunning to the spine.
Inside, the endpapers are tanned and there is a name and date written on the front free endpaper. The pages show sporadic foxing and the binding thread can be seen at the gutter in places. The book features delightful illustrations by the author.
Dimensions approximately 18.7cm x 13cm x 2.7cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
