This lovely, well preserved first edition of Spiders by W S Bistowe was published in 1947 by King Penguin Books. Sadly it doesn't have a dust jacket. It's in good condition, but there is light soiling and marking to the paper covered boards. The spine is sunned, with splitting to the back joint.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and very occasional foxing. There are striking illustrations, as well as a collection of loose clippings tucked inside.
Dimensions approximately 18.2cm x 12.3cm x 1cm.
The book will be hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
