This beautiful vintage edition of Wild Flowers of Britain was published by TC and EC Jack. The book itself is undated but there is a written inscription inside dated 1916. So the book is well over 100 years old. It still has it's original dust jacket which is really rare to see.
The book features a collection of photographs which have been chosen to provide ease when identifying plants.
The book is in very good condition for it's age but there is some wear and tear to the DJ around the edges, most noticeably at the corners and spine ends - there is a little loss to the paper. The paper DJ has some minor marks but is protected by clear plastic which has kept it in very good order. The plastic has some scuffs. Underneath the DJ, the book has light bumping to the corners and discolouration to the boards.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the front free endpaper and the pages show light age toning and occasional marking. There is foxing to the text block edges.
Book Size: 20.8cm x 15.5cm x 2cm (Approx.)
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
