This beautiful edition of The Romance of Bird Life by John Lea was published by Seeley, Service and Co in 1921. It's in publisher's original cloth; the book is bound in blue cloth with pictorial decoration to the front board. The spine also features pictorial decoration and gilt.
It's in near fine condition with faint fading to the spine and foxing to the text block edges. There is a scuff mark to the back board.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright with occasional foxing in the margins. There are some pencilled numbers to the front free endpaper.
The book is filled with black and white plates which add to the charm of this antique volume.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
