This beautiful vintage edition of Britain's Queen The Story of Her Life and Reign by Thomas Paul was published by John F Shaw and Co. The book is undated but I'd estimate it to be from the end of the Victorian era.
The book is bound in red cloth with pictorial decoration and gilt to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with just light wear to the corners and staining around the edges of the boards. The back board shows minor marks and scuffs and there is sunning to the spine, with crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, there is name written in pencil on the verso of the front free endpaper. The pages show significant tanning throughout with sporadic foxing. There is cracking to the gutter in places but no loose pages. There are some pressed flower petals tucked within the pages.
Dimensions approximately 19.5cm x 13.3cm x 2.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
