This lovely antique edition of Journals of Dorothy Wordsworth was Edited by William Knight and published by Macmillan and Co in 1934. Dorothy Wordsworth was the sister of famous poet William, and was known to inspire some of his poetry. Her journals provide an insight into both their lives.
This lovely book is bound in royal blue cloth with gold gilt lettering and detail to the spine. It's in very good condition considering it's 90 years old. There is light soiling and marking to the boards and rubbing to the corners. The board edges show some minor bumping and the spine ends are crushed.
Inside, there is a written name and date on the front free endpaper. The pages show sporadic foxing throughout and there is some soiling/foxing to the text block edges. There are some superficial cracks to the gutter in places but the pages remain tightly bound.
The book features a striking black and white frontispiece of Dorothy Wordsworth.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
