This is something I've been wanting to do in my shop for a couple of years and I've finally plucked up the courage (it’s a bit nerve wracking choosing books for people but I also love introducing readers to new authors and books they might not have stumbled across otherwise).
This listing is for a Book Therapy session and a box of books tailored to the individual buyer. When you purchase a Book Therapy session, I'll spend some time messaging you and getting to know your likes and dislikes. We'll discuss authors and genres so I can get an idea of your favourite reading material. I'll then tailor a box to suit your specific tastes. You can also specify whether you prefer paperbacks or hardbacks, leather or cloth bindings.
***Please note the books in the photos are just examples and do not represent the books you will receive - it's just to show the sort of mixture we can provide, including old books and modern paperbacks. Please also allow up to two weeks for your box to be curated.***
These boxes aren't intended to recommend well known authors such as Jane Austen and the Brontes. We won't be sending out popular authors such as Stephen King or Charles Dickens. The intention is to introduce you to less well known authors who may have slipped through the cracks of time. Hopefully you'll enjoy a box of surprise books arriving on the doorstep and discover some new favourite authors in the process.
There are three different bundles available...
Tier One - £75 plus international shipping. This will include approximately three books and one or two surprise bookish gifts.
Tier Two - £125 plus international shipping. This will include approximately five books and three bookish gifts.
Tier Three - £175 plus international shipping. This will include approximately eight books, including a fine binding and something from the 19th century. There will also be several book themed additions.
Please note that books will be a mixture of modern, vintage and antiquarian.
Over the years, I've read and discovered so many wonderful books and authors that I'm excited to share with you. I also have a contact who will provide some additional advice to me when choosing books for each person.
