This little treasure of a book features a quote for every day of the year, with space for the owner's writing. The book is bound in cream paper and a previous owner has created a beautiful work of art for the front board, with writing to the top and spine. Interestingly there is no writing inside, despite the outside being decorated so prettily. This book is undated but I've managed to find one other edition online that had a written date of 1909. So the book is likely to be Edwardian.
It's in good condition, but there is wear to the board edges and corners, with more significant wear to the spine. The spine is tanned and chipped, with some loss to the paper at the spine ends. There is also splitting to the external joints but the boards are securely bound. There is soiling and foxing to the cream boards.
Inside, the pages show toning and occasional foxing (most noticeable to the preliminary and end pages) but the text is clear and bright.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
