This beautiful antique First edition of Princes and Fairies by Stella Mead was published by James Nisbet & Co Ltd in 1930. It features original publisher's binding of quarter cream cloth and gold textured boards, with a charming pictorial fairyland onlay to the front board.
It's in good condition for it's age, but the corners and edges show wear and loss to the surface of the paper. The bottom corner of the back board is crushed and the paper has split to reveal the board beneath. The boards show light marking and there is a dark cup ring to the back board. The spine is darkened and marked; crushing to the spine ends has caused some splitting in the cloth and there is rubbing to the lettering.
Inside, there is a bookseller's sticker to the bottom corner of the front pastedown and an inscription written in pencil to the front free endpaper. The endpapers are tanned but the rest of the pages are only lightly toned, with sporadic marking and foxing.
The book features one colour plate (frontispiece) and many black and white illustrations.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
