This beautiful French Book called Petit Paroissien is a miniature Catholic Prayer book. It features a full leather binding with elaborate embossed detail in gilt to the boards and spine. All edges gilt but the original red tint can be seen if the pages are fanned.
It's in very good condition with light wear to the edges and spine ends. The leather shows minor marks.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and occasional foxing. The free endpapers have been partially glued to the adjoining pages ( the back free endpaper has separated, showing the dried glue ).
Dimensions approximately 9cm x 5.8cm x 1.1cm. The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
