This little treasure of a Friendship Album is filled with writings and verse (and the odd drawings and pressed flowers) by Edith Peters and her friends in the 1920's. Friendship albums were popular in the early 20th century and young people asked friends and family to put their mark inside the book.
The book features a leather binding over cushioned boards with the word Autographs in gilt to the front board. All edges gilt. It's in excellent condition with only light wear to the spine.
Inside, there is tanning to the endpapers and lighter age toning to the rest of the pages.
Dimensions approximately 16.5cm x 10.2cm x 2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
