This beautiful antique book of John Keble was published by Seeley and Co in 1907. It features a full vellum binding with elaborate gilt decoration to the front board and spine.
It's in very good condition, with just light wear to the corners and some marks to the vellum - the biggest mark is to the back board and I have no idea what caused it. The spine is toned and the boards are bowed (a common problem with full vellum bindings).
Inside, the endpapers are marbled and there is a written inscription on the reverse of the frontispiece. A small stain can also be seen to the top of the frontispiece. The tissue guard is tanned.
The book features beautiful black and white illustration plates which make it an extra special read.
This small pocket book is only approximately 10.7cm x 7.4cm x 1.7cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
