This pretty edition of Daddy Long Legs by Jean Webster was published by The Century Co in 1912.
The book is bound in blue cloth with pictorial floral decoration to the front board and spine. Sadly there is significant wear to the spine, with rubbing and loss to the floral decoration. There is some water marking to the spine and crushing to the spine ends. The corners are worn and crushed and there is light wear to the board edges. There is minor rubbing to the front and light marking to the back board.
Inside, the front free endpaper has been glued to the front pastedown and cracking to the gutter at the half title page. The pages show age toning and sporadic foxing, with occasional finger marks to the paper. The title page is creased and there is blue pencil highlighting the stick figure, with some scribbles above.
Dimensions approximately 18cm x 12.2cm x 2.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
