This stunning edition of Little Miss Vanity by Mrs Henry Clarke was published by Blackie and Son. The book itself is undated but I'd estimate it to be circa 1900.
The book is beautifully bound in blue pictorial cloth and is in very good condition. The book shows a forward lean and there is light wear to the corners. There is foxing to the text block edges and crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front free endpaper and tanning to the endpapers. The pages show scattered foxing throughout and there are occasional cracks to the gutter - despite this the pages remain tightly bound.
Dimensions approximately 18.3cm x 13cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
