This beautiful antique edition of The Book of Common Prayer and The Administration of the Sacraments is bound in full calf with elaborate gilt tooled and gilt decorated boards.. All edges gilt and brass edges to the boards. There is also a brass clasp. The book is undated but I'd estimate it to be late Victorian (circa 1880's).
It's in near fine condition, with just some scuffing and bumping to the leather boards. The spine is a little rubbed and the brass edging of the front board is a little loose.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright but do show scattered foxing. There are occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tightly bound.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
