This stunning edition of Mrs Dimsdale's Grandchildren by M & C Lee and was published by National Society's Depository. The book itself isn't dated but I'd estimate it to be from circa 1900/1910.
The book is bound in blue cloth with beautiful pictorial detail and gilt lettering to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with just minor marks to the cloth and rubbing to the decoration. The corners are lightly worn and there is some marking to the text block edges. The spine is lightly sunned and marked, with crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front pastedown and the pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing. There are cracks to the gutter in places but the pages remain tightly bound.
Dimensions approximately 19.2cm x 13.3cm x 3.1cm.
All books purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
