These sweet little antique books were part of the Little Naturalist Series by Ernest Nister, published in the early 1900’s. One is The Little Naturalist in the Garden and the other is The Little Naturalist at the Seaside.
They’re in good condition but there is wear to the spines, with some loss and chipping to the surface of the paper. The boards show marking and there is wear and bumping to the corners. The paper has split to reveal the board beneath.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and occasional foxing/marking but are otherwise in very good antique condition. One volume has a stamped name to the verso of the frontispiece whilst the other has a written inscription opposite the half title page. The books feature wonderful black and white illustrations throughout. There are just two colour plates (the frontispieces).

The books will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
