This beautiful vintage edition of Westward Ho! By Charles Kingsley was published by James Nisbet & Co Ltd. The book is undated but I've seen this binding on other books with inscriptions and they usually date between 1905 and 1912.
The book is bound in pink cloth with stunning art nouveau floral decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with only light wear to the corners and board edges. There are some minor marks to the boards and crushing to the spine ends. There is a dent to the bottom edge of the back board near the joint
Inside, there is tanning to the pages with occasional minor marks.
Dimensions approximately 20cm x 14cm x 4.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
