This beautiful edition of A Wonder Book of Old Romance by F J Harvey Darton was published by Wells Gardner Darton and Co in 1907.
The book is bound in burgundy cloth with stunning gilt decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with just some minor rubbing to the corners and small marks to the back board. The spine is slightly sunned, with dulling to the gilt, and there is crushing to the spine ends which has caused minor splitting in the cloth. The book has a pronounced forward lean.
Inside there is some writing on the front endpaper in pencil and the pages have tanning and foxing in places. The book features beautiful illustrations throughout, which make this an extra special read.
Dimensions approximately 21.2cm x 15.8cm x 3.5cm.
The book will be gift wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
